Megan is a relentless creator and trend spotter who brings people together to solve big problems. She believes face to face meetings create a shared focus that brings forth new insights, a clearer sense of purpose, and solutions that impact performance. A creative and passionate leader, Megan has a keen interest in how technology is transforming the way people live, work, play, and connect. She knows the time is now to challenge traditional concepts of learning and networking to deliver the tools leaders need to compete in today’s rapidly transforming global marketplace.
Prior to founding Purpose Events, Megan managed a 30 million dollar event portfolio and produced hundreds of events for thousands of Health System, Health Plan, and Pharmaceutical executives. She held senior management positions at Informa, World Congress, IQPC, and Institutional Investor. In addition, Megan worked at WebMD on the team of trailblazing digital health executives building the first online CME accredited professional education platform for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists. Prior to that she managed the project to merge the membership databases for Northern and Southern Kaiser Permanente the same year HIPAA regs came to pass. She started her career like many healthcare leaders before her in the lab, where she researched glial apoptosis for the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation at Columbia Presbyterian while attending Columbia University’s School of Public Health.
Now when she’s not creating memorable events, you’ll find her at the ballpark watching little league with her two boys, planning meals that may never be made, running, taking pictures, comparing LA to NY, and enjoying life at the beach with her family.
